Amateur radio operators and the public are invited to the Amateur Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day 2025 event hosted by the Lake of the Ozarks Amateur Radio Club (LOARC) from noon June 28 to noon June 29 at the Camdenton Conservation Service Center.

The event, part of the nationwide American Radio Relay League (ARRL) Field Day, aims to showcase the capabilities of amateur radio in emergency communications and to encourage public participation in the hobby. The center is located at 783 Thunder Mountain Road in Camdenton.

Visitors are welcome Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning to observe radio operations in action and even try making contacts with other radio operators across the country.

LOARC will demonstrate how amateur radio can be a vital tool in emergencies, such as natural disasters, when traditional communication systems fail. Field Day encourages skill-building, public outreach and community involvement.

The primary goal of ARRL Field Day is to test emergency preparedness and radio communication skills in simulated emergency conditions. It also serves as a social event where operators practice portable setups and engage in science, technology and fun.
