13 • Hot Summer Nights will take place on the Bagnell Dam Strip from 5-9 p.m., rain or shine. There is free admission and participation. All makes of cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome. This week’s theme is “Hot Rod Heaven.”

 

17 • The Lake Area Community Orchestra is performing a concert at 7 p.m. at California United Church of Christ at 101 N. Oak Street in California. Admission is free and donations will be accepted. The summer series will feature “Main Street Celebration,” “Great Movie Marches,” “Theme from Lawrence of Arabia,” “Hobbits from Lord of the Rings,” “The Wizard of Oz” and “Semper Fidelis.” For more information, contact Andrew Drennan at 636-439-1305 or Bob Szczys at 573-723-2052.

 

18 • Country Market & Bazaar is every Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. at the Camden County Museum, 206 S. Locust St., Linn Creek. There are local craft vendors with sewing, soaps, jams, produce in season when available, Pink Zebra, Avon and more. 19 • Bike Nights at Leprechan’s Corner, 397 Old South 5 in Camdenton, are on the first and third Thursday of each month from 6-10 p.m. The event will include live music, contests and raffles.

 

20 • 20th Share the Harvest Anniversary Celebration. Open house 10 a.m.-4 p.m., program at 1 p.m. Tour the facility, 50/50 raffle

20 - 22 • The 24th Annual Osage Rock and Mineal Club Show will be June 20-22 at the Eldon Community Center, 309 E 2nd Street. The theme this year is Galena. There will be a Fluorescent Mineral display back this year. Please note that the Fluorescent Mineral will be open on Saturday and Sunday ( not Friday). The event will include displays, kids games and prizes, in addition to gem stones, jewelry, geode cracking, crystals, cabochons, gift items and many more surprises for the rockhounds. Admission is $2. Max family cost is $5. Children 12 and under are free. Times are: Friday 2-6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

 

21 • American Legion Post 624 Garage Sale, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., 824 American Legion Road, Sunrise Beach. To donate items or for questions, contact Christy Fischer, 913-708-1760. Proceeds benefit efforts of the Legion Auxiliary.

 

21 • Radio-Active Players, a talented group of local actors, perform their very entertaining monthly Reader’s Theatre, in the style of live Old-Time Radio, at Little Brews Cafe, on State Road KK, at 7 p.m., doors open at 6 p.m. For information, contact Beth at 913-909-8603 or Will at 573-462-6623.

 

21 - 22 • XInsurance Offshore Race will take place June 21-22 at the 0-3-mile marker. Experience the thrill of high-speed offshore racing at Lake of the Ozarks. Enjoy action-packed races, exciting activities and a vibrant atmosphere filled with fellow boating enthusiasts. Don’t miss this unforgettable weekend of adrenaline and community spirit. Racing is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

27 • Movies at the Park is a brand new, family-friendly event at Osage Beach City Park this summer presented by Osage Beach Parks and Recreation. This night’s movie is The Goonies and begins at 8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a free flick under the stars on select Fridays in May, June and July. The park is located at 950 Hatchery Road in Osage Beach.

 

27 & 28 • United Methodist Church is hosting a garage sale in its Fellowship Hall, 340 U.S. 54, Camdenton, Friday, June 27, from 7 a.m. and Saturday, June 28, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

27 • The Kiwanis Duck Drop Golf Tournament will be held at Bear Creek Valley Golf Club with registration at 7:30 a.m. and tee-off at 8:30 a.m. Cost to play is $200. 

 

28 • Adults only Prom Night, 5 p.m., Lodge of the Four Seasons. First annual fundraiser for the silent survivors of domestic violence and those lost. Hors d’oeuvres, cash bar, dancing, celebration of life. Proceeds support local shelters, outreach services and community scholarships. Cost is $50 per person or $85 per couple.
