Moving into the middle of the high school football season with week four, Camdenton will try again to break into the win column, while Osage is looking to rebound from a tough loss and pick up their first conference win.

Camdenton Lakers

Playing in their second game of a two-game road trip, Camdenton (0-3, 0-2) will be facing off against the Helias Catholic Crusaders (3-0, 2-0) for a Central Missouri Activities Conference (CMAC) game at 7 p.m. in Jefferson City..

The Lakers have lost their last two meetings against Helias, both of which came last season. They fell to the Crusaders 8-38 in the regular season before losing to them again in the playoffs later in the year, 17-45. Before that, Camdenton had beaten them in the playoffs in 2018.

So far this year, Camdenton is averaging 13 points per game while surrendering 33.7 points to their opponents following their 19-42 loss to Smith-Cotton last week.

The Crusaders are currently averaging 43.7 points on offense and giving up an average of 11 points on defense. They are coming off of a 66-6 win over Battle in week three.

Camdenton is still searching for their first win of 2025 as they progress into their CMAC schedule and toward the midway point of the season. This is the last road game they will play until mid-October. Helias is currently undefeated and has received votes in the Missouri Class 6 high school football rankings.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for tonight’s game will be mostly clear with a low around 61 degrees with calm wind. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between10 p.m. and 1 a.m. with an overall chance of precipitation of 30%.

Osage Indians

Osage will be renewing their annual rivalry with the Eldon Mustangs for a Tri-County Conference game on the road in Eldon at 7 p.m.

As longstanding foes, Osage (2-1, 0-1) and Eldon (3-0) are very familiar with one another, but the Indians have gotten the better of the Mustangs in recent years, defeating them four times in their last five meetings including last season’s 41-22 victory. Over their last 10 meetings, however, Eldon fares better with four wins to Osage’s six.

So far this year, the Indians are averaging 24 points per game and their defense is allowing an average of 32.3 points after their 6-42 blowout loss to Blair Oaks in week 3.

The Mustangs are currently scoring an average of 30 points per game while surrendering an average of 7.3 points. They are coming off of a 13-8 win over Owensville.

Osage will be looking to not only defeat a rival this week but make a statement after their big loss to Blair Oaks. The Indians are currently the No. 8 ranked team in Missouri Class 3 and hope to show they belong in the rankings and potentially move up. This will be Eldon’s first conference game of the season and, while they are averaging 30 points per game so far, outside of a 62-0 win over Versailles in week 2, the Mustangs have eked out their other two wins with a 15-14 win against Fulton and a 13-8 win against Owensville.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for tonight’s game is mostly clear with a low around 60 degrees and a calm wind. There is a chance of thunderstorms before 7 p.m. with an overall chance of precipitation of 30%.
