Now entering the second half of the 2025 football season, Camdenton looks to make it two in a row after earning their first win last Friday, and Osage will try to keep up their recent frantic scoring in their homecoming game.
Camdenton Lakers
The Lakers are welcoming the Rock Bridge Bruins to Bob Shore Stadium for another Central Missouri Activities Conference (CMAC) game this Friday, Oct. 3, for their final home game of the season at 7 p.m.
Camdenton (1-4, 1-3) has lost their only two meetings with Rock Bridge (2-3, 2-2), a 30-35 loss on the road in Columbia last year and a 6-7 loss in the State playoffs all the way back in 1977. This year’s meeting will be the first time the two teams will square off in Camdenton.
So far this year, Camdenton is averaging 19.6 points per game while surrendering 36.2 points to their opponents, with both of their season averages improving considerably following their 53-24 rout of the Battle Spartans last week.
The Bruins are currently averaging 25.6 points on offense and giving up an average of 17.2 points on defense. They are coming off of a 6-16 loss to Helias in the previous week.
After having claimed their first victory of the fall season over Battle in week five, Camdenton will have their work cut out for them to make it back-to-back wins against the Bruins this week. Rock Bridge’s defense has been stout this season, evidenced by their recent loss to Helias where they allowed just 16 points to a Crusaders team that had been averaging 46.75 points a game. The Lakers meanwhile are coming off a win in which they allowed four touchdowns to Battle while the Spartans had been averaging just under a touchdown a game.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for tonight’s game will be clear with a low around 63 degrees.
Osage Indians
The Osage Indians are riding the momentum of two big conference wins into their homecoming game this Friday, Oct. 3, where they will take on another Tri-County Conference opponent in the Hallsville Indians.
Osage (4-1, 2-1) and Hallsville (2-3, 1-1) know each other quite well as conference foes over the years, but it has been Osage who has had the better of the competition in recent memory. Osage has won three straight against Hallsville, including a 52-16 blowout in last year’s meeting. However, prior to those three wins, Hallsville had won four in a row dating from 2018 to 2021.
So far this year, Osage is averaging 34 points per game and their defense is allowing an average of 21.8 points after their 48-0 shutout of California in week 5.
Hallsville is currently scoring an average of 23.2 points per game while surrendering an average of 34.6 points. They are coming off of a 43-33 win over Eldon last week.
After dominating their game against California, Osage has held onto their top-10 spot in the Missouri Class 3 high school football rankings, improving from the No. 8 ranked team to the No. 6 team in Class 3. Their offensive output in their two games since being held to six points against Blair Oaks has no doubt helped to propel them up the rankings, and facing a Hallsville defense that has given up at least 33 points in all but one game this season presents a good opportunity for Osage to put up another big offensive performance in a conference game.
According to the National Weather Service, the forecast for tonight’s game is clear with a low around 63 degrees.
