Local author Tammy Witherspoon recently completed a radio murder mystery for KPIP-LP, 94.7 fm in Fayette.
Witherspoon was contacted by David Holman, who produced and did sound effects for the play, in the spring to write an original play for the radio station.
The play was loosely based on an actual murder that happened in Northeast Missouri in the early 1960s.
However, since this play was going to be the Halloween play, it was decided a twist or two needed to be added.
